‘Our consistent ranking in this survey serves as confirmation that both our paperboard families offer what the market wants,’ comments Kenneth Nysten, sales and marketing director at Iggesund. ‘It is particularly pleasing the survey participants are converters, which make a living from transforming our white and lightweight paperboard into functional and elegant packaging.’

Sustainability and quality are essential

Kenneth Nysten of Iggesund PaperboardThe survey also concludes that high quality and sustainability characteristics are becoming more and more important as selection criteria. Converters have high expectations when it comes to the printability of paperboard as well as its runnability in the conversion process and its folding properties. Invercote and Incada meet these expectations with ease.

Iggesund and Stora Enso are perceived as leaders in sustainability in the paperboard market, even though the majority of respondents did not recognise any clear leader in the packaging industry.

‘The opinion of these converters reinforces that we are heading in the right direction with our vision. Their appreciation of our sustainability efforts is important and a strong statement in favour of our products,’ Nysten concludes.
