This offers a significant upgrade for users in terms of speed, productivity and security features. The new device is equipped with all the benefits of the existing third generation portfolio. This includes the newest unified firmware platform, uniFLOW online express and enhanced security.

All the devices are up to 30 percent faster than the predecessors with speeds reaching up to 71ppm.

The latest entry-level line up is reliable and compact, perfect for small to medium enterprises and public sector offices. Time saving measures such as the new all-in-one cartridge-based technology makes the removal and replacement of toners fuss free, without the need for a technician.

The new machines are also equipped with an intuitive user interface and a colour touch screen for ease of use. Users can enjoy full consistency across the entire platform for a personalised and reliable user experience. The customised displays, settings and functions, help to optimise and streamline workflows.

The new devices have a number of added and enhanced security functions, making them robust and reliable A4 mono devices available on the market. HDD encryption as standard and user authentication login at device protects confidentiality and strengthens security credentials, even when printing from mobile. To help prevent unauthorised distribution of sensitive information, various device functions can be disabled for individual users, helping meet GDPR requirements.

Complete with a built-in ADF scanner, proximity card reader and a dedicated finisher model, the compact design means the devices take up minimal space without compromising on functionality.

The embedded cloud software enables seamless integration with existing systems and remote print access. The superior image quality provides an all-in-one hardware and software solution that is unbeatable in addressing business requirements for A4 mono printing and scanning.

‘We want to underline our commitment to our customers with this final update to the third generation, second edition portfolio, whatever their size or requirement,’ explains James de Waal, head of marketing, Business Imaging Group at Canon South Africa.

The new range will be available throughout South Africa from January 2019.
