2019 show dates announced for Africa Print

Show branding for 2019 Africa Print expos  Practical Publishing, the organiser of the Africa Print series of regional expos, has just revealed the line-up of its printing industry events for 2019. These will be hosted in Nelspruit, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Zimbabwe and Johannesburg.

In 2018, the flagship Africa Print exhibition was a major success. The show received positive feedback from exhibitors and its visitors number increased. Africa Print attracted 6 494 visitors in total. The unique visitors increased from 5 839 in 2017 to 5 907 in 2018, and 587 revisits were recorded. 

The top 10 countries with visitors from outside of South Africa included Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Angola, Malawi, Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Final audited results also showed visitors from Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Mauritius and Uganda attended the show.

Next year, the flagship Africa Print expo, co-located with FESPA Africa, Sign Africa, Africa LED and Modern Marketing, is scheduled for 11 to 13 September.

What to expect in 2019?

Visitors to the Africa Print expos in 2019 will be able to take advantage of opportunities in sheetfed A3 machines, grand format digital equipment, commercial and digital printing technology, finishing equipment, software, media, consumables and more.  

Practical Publishing is also aware of the increased demand to host Africa Print events beyond the SA border. This is mainly because South Africa is the gateway into Africa and Zimbabwe is proving an exciting territory for exhibitors looking to expand their reach into Africa.

Confirmed dates and venues for 2019 Africa Print expos:

  • •Nelspruit: 20 February at the Emnotweni Arena
  • •Port Elizabeth: 27 March at the Boardwalk Convention Centre
  • •Cape Town: 8 to 9 May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre
  • •Zimbabwe: 12 to 13 June at the Cresta Lodge, Harare 
  • •Johannesburg: 11 to 13 September at the Gallagher Convention Centre.
